You might have noticed some changes this year in the WJRU Representatives Program.

This has come about largely as a result of a partnership with the Warringah Hillbillies. The Warringah Hillbillies is not only providing a conduit to the winning senior RATs set-up (access to players, trainers, coaches, resources etc) but is also raising much needed funds for the rugby representative pathways on the Northern Beaches. In 2018, money from Hillbilly memberships and other initiatives on ‘The Hill’ is going directly to help Warringah Junior Rugby Union. Helping us to afford training equipment, ground hire, refs/first aid and all the bits and pieces that make running an amateur high performance program possible.

For those of you who don’t know, the Hillbillies is a Warringah Rugby Club membership, revered in rugby circles, aimed at creating community, fun and socialising for parents and kids. Have a look at their Facebook or Insta accounts (Warringah Hillbillies) and you will get the general vibe. Benefits include; free entry (kids get in free) and parking to all 11 home games as well as their famous (infamous) merchandise (Hillbilly flanno’s, caps) and heap of other exclusive and fun membership benefits.

If any of you are thinking of going to Rat Park to support our premiership winning team this season, then we recommend you sign-up to become a Hillbilly. You’ll have a ball and be helping the junior rugby representative pathways on the beaches at the same time https://warringahrugby.com.au/product/rats-2018-hillbillies-membership/.
