Today we are feeling so proud and excited!

In Term 3 of 2017, we met these boys with the fantastic support of Collaroy Cougars Rugby Club and the NBI organisation. It was the first time we decided to run a 14-18yr old specific Sense Rugby group and it was new territory for us all. Most of the boys hadn't been part of a team before, were new to rugby and wanted to work on social skills, fitness and gross motor skills.

Last night, these legends put it all together and chose a leader for their side, came up with 6 step game plans where they considered their team members' strengths and weaknesses, accepted being corrected through some pretty stringent refereeing (😂), dealt with it when things didn't go to plan, learnt how to get their bodies in a position where they could avoid passing forwards and mostly had a whole lot of fun on the field and came up with their own team song. As one of the boys told us, the best thing about it was learning that it can be good for his team when he feels strong and powerful.

It has been hard at times but persistence pays off and we could not be happier to share this experience of growth with these guys! Thanks for being part of Sense Rugby boys!

P.s Special thanks to the Seaforth Raiders Rugby Union Club for hosting these guys on Wednesday nights! It's been a team effort on the Northern Beaches! 💪
